How to pause Recording for doorbells and cameras

You can pause Recording of video on your Ring doorbells and cameras in the Ring app.

Reviewing previously recorded video on your Ring Video Doorbells and Security Cameras requires a Ring Protect subscription.

Pausing Recording of video in the Ring app

1. Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.

2. Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.

3. Tap the camera icon turn

   Recording

   on or off.
4. If turning off, tap the

   Stop recording

   confirmation button.

When Recording is turned off, you will also not receive Motion Alerts.

If you have Camera Modes enabled and you switch Modes, your Recording setting may change based on your Mode preferences in Disarmed, Home and Away Modes.
