Tell your neighbors what happened
Your neighbors should understand how your post relates to their safety or community. Include enough detail for your neighbors to respond or make their own decisions.
Keep it local
Neighbors is for your community. Keep it specific to your area, honest, and in service of the people around you.
Post in good faith
Post about your neighborhood in good faith. If it's not specific to your area or not sincere, it doesn't belong here.
Not a marketplace or soapbox
Solicitations, politics, election information, and personal disputes don’t belong here.
Be neighborly
Treat people fairly and respectfully, on camera and off. Be helpful, protect privacy, and keep it civil.
Keep it civil and safe
Be respectful to people, on camera and off. Don’t normalize, promote, or glorify violence or endanger others. Keep it lawful, including no CSAM, NCII, illicit activities, or IP infringement.
Respect people's privacy
Protect others’ privacy the way you’d want yours protected. Don’t post personal information to target or shame, children without consent, people in distress, or graphic or sexual content.
Stick to the facts
Tell your neighbors what happened and let them draw their own conclusions. Don't let assumptions do the heavy lifting.
Make descriptions count
Descriptions of individuals should help your neighbors recognize a specific person. If it doesn't, leave it out.
No hate
Content that expresses hatred, contempt, or inferiority toward people based on who they are is never permitted.
