Installing the Pan-Tilt Mount for Outdoor Cam

Learn how to install the Pan-Tilt Mount for your Outdoor Cam (formerly Stick Up Cam (3rd Gen)) battery, plug-in and solar devices.

Phillips head screwdriver
Drill with 0.24 in (6 mm) drill bit (optional)

Step 1: Remove the battery

  1. Remove the security screw.
  2. Remove the battery cover by twisting it counter-clockwise, and remove the quick-release battery pack.

Step 2: Attach the Outdoor Cam to the Pan-Tilt Mount

Insert the Pan-Tilt Mount into the battery slot of the Outdoor Cam (formerly Stick Up Cam (3rd Gen)). Then, lift and twist the battery cover off the mount clockwise to close it.

Step 3: Insert the rubber plugs

Insert the two rubber plugs into the back of the Outdoor Cam (formerly Stick Up Cam (3rd Gen)).

Step 4: Mount on a table or shelf

  1. Place the device on a flat surface.
  2. Plug the power adapter directly into the Pan-Tilt Mount, not the
    Outdoor Cam (formerly Stick Up Cam (3rd Gen))
    .

Step 5: Mount on a wall

1. Install the mounting plate.

If installing on a wood surface: Screw the mounting plate directly into the wall.

If installing on a masonry (concrete, brick, or stucco) surface: Mark four screw holes using the plate as a guide. Drill pilot holes using a 0.24 in (6 mm) drill bit. Insert the included wall anchors, then drive the four mounting screws through the mounting plate into the wall anchors.

2. Connect the power cable. Feed the power cable through the cut-out in the wall mount. Then, plug it directly into the Pan-Tilt Mount, not the Outdoor Cam (formerly Stick Up Cam (3rd Gen)).

3. Lower the Pan-Tilt onto the wall mount. Rotate the Pan-Tilt Mount so the two holes align with the prongs on the wall mount. Then, lower it onto the wall mount.

4. Insert security screws into the wall mount. Use the two smaller screws on the bottom of the wall mount to secure the Pan-Tilt Mount to the wall. Do not use the longer mounting screws for this.

Step 6: Set up in the Ring app

  1. Test the Pan-Tilt functions in the Ring app.
