Assembling your Ring Mobile Security Tower

What to know

This guide walks you through the complete assembly and setup of your Ring Mobile Security Tower. Assembly takes 60 to 90 minutes, and app setup takes approximately 30 minutes.

Before you begin

Safety first

Read the below safety instructions before starting installation. Failure to follow these can cause equipment damage, personal injury, or system malfunction.

Included tools

• T25 Security Torx key
• M4 hex key (allen wrench)

Required tools for tower installation

• Adjustable wrench
• Phillips screwdriver
• Box cutter
• Pallet jack or forklift

Required tools for trailer installation (if applicable)

• Socket or lug wrench
• M10, M12, M14 hex wrenches
• Pliers
• Wire strippers
• Phillips screwdriver
• Needle nose pliers
• Heavy-duty work gloves

Required tools for solar panel installation (if applicable)

• MC4 removal tool for solar connector removal (included with Solar Kit)
• M5 hex key (allen wrench) (included with Solar Kit)

Recommended tools

• Bubble or magnetic level
• Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety gloves and eyewear

Pre-installation checklist

Before beginning installation, confirm:

• The Ring app is installed.
• The mobile device with the Ring app is fully charged, and Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled.
• All required tools have been gathered.
• You have a 50 ft extension cord on hand.
• The installation site is stable and level.
• The Ring Mobile Security Tower service subscription is active.
• A helper is available for installation assistance.
• The installation area is clear of overhead power lines and obstructions, with at least a 10 foot minimum clearance.
• The device serial numbers have been documented.
• The Side Solar Panel components have been verified (if they will be installed).

Hardware assembly (Steps 1 to 8)

1. Set Tower location and name in the Ring app

Register the Tower with your Ring account before any physical assembly. This step has three parts: scanning the QR code, assigning a location, and naming the Tower.

Scan the QR code

1. Open the Ring app and tap the

   + icon

   or

   Set Up a Device

   .
2. Scan the QR code on the Ring Mobile Security Tower label, located on the base unit.
3. Hold your phone camera steady, 6 to 12 inches from the QR code, until the app detects it.
4. Wait for confirmation that the device is recognized before continuing.

Set the Tower's location

The app asks: "Where would you like to set up your Mobile Security Tower?"

1. Select an existing location from the list, or tap

   Add a New Location

   and enter the address or site name.
2. Verify the address is accurate. It is used for emergency response and monitoring.
3. Tap

   Continue

   .

Name the Tower

The app asks: "Give your Mobile Security Tower a name."

• Pick from the default suggestions, or tap

  Custom...

  to enter your own name.

Confirm whether the Tower is already assembled

The app asks: "Has your Mobile Security Tower been assembled?" with the note: "If not, we'll show you how."

• Tap

  YES

  if the Tower is already fully assembled. Skip to Step 8 to power on the Tower for in-app setup.
• Tap

  NO

  to follow the guided hardware assembly in Steps 2 through 7 below.

2. Prepare for assembly

The app displays the "Let's assemble your Mobile Security Tower." screen with the tools and helpers you need on hand.

1. Confirm you have all required tools in the Pre-installation checklist and a helper for lifting and installation assistance.
2. Tap

Choose a spot near the center of the area you want to monitor, on a flat, level, stable surface. Reserve an area at least 8 by 7 ft (2.5 by 2 meters). You may need less if you're not adding a trailer or extra Solar Panels. For the best solar performance, do not place the Tower in the shade or near obstructions like trees, fences, or buildings.

Important note: If you plan to plug the Tower into a power outlet, keep it within 50 ft (15 meters) of the outlet.

The app asks: "How will your Tower be used?" Pick one:

• On flat ground, continue with Step 3A.
• On a trailer, skip to Step 3B.

3A. Set up on the ground

Move and unbox the Tower

1. Move the pallet to your chosen location with a pallet jack or forklift.
2. Open the packaging with your box cutter and remove all packing material except the pallet.
3. Locate the Tower door lock and open it with the attached key.
4. Unload the cable and hardware bags, the Camera Module, and the two loose Mast Sections. Leave the pre-attached Mast Base.

Caution: Do not try to remove the third Mast Base. It is spring-loaded and can snap up unexpectedly.

Separate the Tower from the pallet

1. Open the Tower door, then use an adjustable wrench to remove all nuts holding the Tower to the pallet.
2. Close the door and have two people lift the Tower from its pallet to your chosen location. Ensure the solar panel is facing south.

Deploy the Tower Stabilizers

1. Release each Stabilizer arm by pulling down the spring-loaded ring that holds it in place. Rotate each arm out to a 45-degree angle from the Base.
2. Remove the pin from each Stabilizer foot, then rotate the feet so they sit flat on the ground.
3. Rotate each Stabilizer foot until the Tower is sitting level.

After completing the above steps, proceed to Step 4.

3B. Set up on the Trailer

Assemble the trailer

1. Open the two Trailer Kit packages with your box cutter.
2. Follow the Video Tutorial linked in the app to start assembly. You'll need all of the tools listed in the

   Required tools for trailer installation

   section above.
3. After completing Trailer assembly, move to the next step to assemble the Tower onto the Trailer.

Important note: Get help when lifting. The Tower is heavy. Use at least two people to lift it safely.

Move and unbox the Tower

1. Open the packaging with your box cutter and remove all packing material except the pallet.
2. Locate the Tower door lock and open it with the attached key.
3. Unload the cable and hardware bags, the Camera Module, and the two loose Mast Sections. Leave the pre-attached Mast Base.

Caution: Do not try to remove the third Mast Base. It is spring-loaded and can snap up unexpectedly.

Separate the Tower from the pallet

1. Open the Tower door, then use an adjustable wrench to remove all nuts holding the Tower to the pallet. Close the door and tilt the Tower onto its back.
2. Using the same adjustable wrench, remove the four nuts and washers from the Tower's feet. Set these aside for the next step.

Secure the Tower Base to the trailer

1. With a helper, lift the Tower Base and lower it onto the trailer. Guide the Base between the fenders so the four threaded rods line up with the holes in the corner brackets.
2. Once the Base is seated, secure it to the trailer with the four nuts and washers you removed in the previous step.

After completing the above steps, proceed to Step 4.

4. Install the batteries

The battery modules are the Tower's primary power source, and up to three batteries can be used in a single Tower. The battery slot order is counter-clockwise and the batteries should be installed in order: Slot 1 first (bottom left on the Base), then Slot 2 (bottom right on the Base), then Slot 3 (top right on the Base).

For this step, you will need:

• The included battery (or multiple batteries).
• The included Battery Power Cable(s).
• The included Battery Data Cable(s).
• The included Battery Daisy Chain Cable(s), for multiple batteries.
• The included Battery Clamp(s) and J-bolts.
• An adjustable wrench (not included).
• A Phillips screwdriver (not included).

Caution: Get help lifting the battery. Each battery weighs approximately 70 lbs. (approximately 32 kg) and must be lifted and lowered with precision.

Unbox the battery (or batteries)

1. Remove the battery, along with the included cables and hardware, from its packaging. If you're installing multiple batteries, complete this step for each one.
2. Set the battery or batteries aside for later installation.

Important note: Do not install any of the batteries yet, later steps will walk you through positioning and connecting them.

Slowly guide the Mast Base to an upright position

1. Remove any packing materials from the Mast Base.
2. Holding the Mast Base by the top, slowly guide it until it's standing upright in the U-shaped recess in the rear wall of the Base.
3. If cables get in the way, gently push them aside. Do not disconnect them.

Caution: Hold the Mast Base firmly by the top. The Mast Base is spring-loaded. Releasing it can cause injury or damage to the hardware.

Open the Electrical Box and set all breakers to off

1. Locate the Electrical Box inside the Tower Base, in the lower left area of the rear panel.
2. Open the box, then flip each breaker switch downward to the

   OFF

   position before proceeding to the next step.

Clear Slot 1 and remove the Weatherproof Cap

1. Inside the Tower, clear the area marked Slot 1 of any cables or installation hardware. This makes space for the battery.
2. Remove the Weatherproof Cap from the Tower Base, and store it in the Tool Box inside the Tower Base.

Important note: The Cap helps to keep out water and dirt when your Tower is stowed away for storage or transportation.

Lower the battery into Slot 1

1. With your helper, lift the battery by its straps and carefully lower it into Slot 1 with the terminals facing the middle of the Tower Base. This ensures the battery is correctly positioned for daisy-chaining if you are installing multiple batteries.
2. Verify the battery's charge indicator window is visible after the battery is seated.

Caution: The battery is very heavy and must be lifted by its straps. Get help if needed.

Secure the battery in place

1. Locate the Battery Clamp and J-bolts in the hardware bag you set aside earlier.
2. Place the Battery Clamp on top of the battery, then run the J-bolts through the holes in the bottom of the Tower Base into the anchor slots on top of the bracket.
3. Thread a washer and nut onto the end of each J-bolt, and tighten until snug.

Important note: Confirm the battery is off. If the battery's green LED lights are on during this step, press and hold the silver power button for 3 seconds to turn off the battery.

Connect the Battery Power Cable

1. Remove the rubber boots from the battery terminals, then thread each boot onto its matching Battery Power Cable. Red goes with positive; black goes with negative.
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw from each battery terminal. Slot the end of each Power Cable onto its matching terminal, then re-attach and tighten the screws. Snap the boots back onto each terminal when finished.
3. Connect the other end of the Battery Power Cable to the pre-wired numbered cable running from the Electrical Box, then proceed to the next step.

Connect the Battery Data Cable to the battery

1. Locate the Battery Data Cable. This is a short black cable with a right-angled connector on one end and an Ethernet plug on the other.
2. Plug the right-angled end of the cable into the small connector on the battery labelled

   IN

   .

Important note: Do not turn the battery on yet.

Prepare the Battery Data Cable coupler

1. Locate the cable labeled BATTERY DATA coming from the Electrical Box.
2. Unscrew and remove the outer half of the cable connector. This also functions as a port cover.
3. Remove the end cap from the connector, then remove the blue grommet from under the end cap. You'll need these for the next step.

Insert the Battery Data Cable into the connector

1. Feed the Ethernet end of the Battery Data Cable through the end cap you just removed, starting from the smaller end.
2. Slip the blue grommet you removed in the last step around the Battery Data Cable, near the plug.
3. Feed the Battery Data Cable into the end of the port cover, and push the grommet back into place until it's flush.

Connect the Battery Data Cable and reassemble the connector

1. Plug the Battery Data Cable into the cable coming from the Electrical Box.
2. Push the connector all the way up to cover the cable connection. Twist it clockwise to lock, and tighten the end cap to create a seal.

Adding a second battery (optional)

The app prompts: "Are you adding another battery? Your Mobile Security Tower can fit up to 3."

• Tap

  NO

  if you only have one battery to install, and skip ahead to Step 6.5.
• Tap

  ADD ANOTHER BATTERY

  to install a second battery and continue with the steps below.

Lower the battery into Slot 2

1. Make sure the area marked Slot 2 is clear of cables and installation hardware.
2. Carefully lower the battery into Slot 2 with the terminals facing the middle of the Tower Base. This ensures the battery is correctly positioned for daisy-chaining.

Secure the second battery in place

1. Place the Battery Clamp on top of the battery, then run the J-bolts through the holes in the bottom of the Tower Base into the anchor slots on top of the bracket.
2. Thread a washer and nut onto the end of each J-bolt, and tighten until snug.

Important note: Confirm the battery is off. If the battery's green LED lights are on during this step, press and hold the silver power button for 3 seconds to turn off the battery.

Connect the Battery Power Cable to the second battery

1. Remove the rubber boots from the battery terminals, then thread each boot onto its matching Battery Power Cable. Red goes with positive; black goes with negative.
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw from each battery terminal. Slot the end of each Power Cable onto its matching terminal, then re-attach and tighten the screws. Snap the boots back onto each terminal when finished.
3. Connect the other end of the Battery Power Cable to the pre-wired numbered cable running from the Electrical Box, then proceed to the next step.

Connect the Battery Daisy Chain Cable

1. Locate the Battery Daisy Chain Cable. Both ends are right-angled connectors: one labelled

   IN

   and the other labelled

   OUT

   .
2. Connect the

   OUT

   end to the

   OUT

   connector on the battery in Slot 1.
3. Connect the

   IN

   end to the

   IN

   connector on the battery in Slot 2.

Adding a third battery (optional)

The app prompts again: "Are you adding another battery?"

• Tap

  NO

  if you have two batteries total. Skip ahead to Step 6.5: Install side solar panels.
• Tap

  ADD ANOTHER BATTERY

  to install a third battery and continue with Slot 3 below.

Lower the battery into Slot 3

1. Make sure the area marked Slot 3 is clear of cables and installation hardware.
2. Carefully lower the battery into Slot 3 with the terminals facing the middle of the Tower Base. This ensures the battery is correctly positioned for daisy-chaining.

Secure the third battery in place

1. Place the Battery Clamp on top of the battery, then run the J-bolts through the holes in the bottom of the Tower Base into the anchor slots on top of the bracket.
2. Thread a washer and nut onto the end of each J-bolt, and tighten until snug.

Important note: Confirm the battery is off. If the battery's green LED lights are on during this step, press and hold the silver power button for 3 seconds to turn off the battery.

Connect the Battery Power Cable

1. Remove the rubber boots from the battery terminals, then thread each boot onto its matching Battery Power Cable. Red goes with positive; black goes with negative.
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw from each battery terminal. Slot the end of each Power Cable onto its matching terminal, then re-attach and tighten the screws. Snap the boots back onto each terminal when finished.
3. Connect the other end of the Battery Power Cable to the pre-wired numbered cable running from the Electrical Box, then proceed to the next step.

Connect the Battery Daisy Chain Cable

1. Locate the next Battery Daisy Chain Cable.
2. Connect the

   OUT

   end to the

   OUT

   connector on the battery in Slot 2.
3. Connect the

   IN

   end to the

   IN

   connector on the battery in Slot 3.

5. Installing the Side Solar Panels (optional)

The app asks: "Do you want to install Side Solar Panels?"

• If no, select "No, I'm not using them" and skip ahead to Step 6.
• If yes, select "Yes, I have panels to install" and continue to the below steps.

Confirm parts and tools

The app shows the "Let's install your Solar Panels." screen. For this, you'll need:

• 4 Side Solar Panels (shipped separately).
• 2 Panel Mounts (shipped separately).
• Solar Panel cables (included).
• A Phillips screwdriver (not included).
• A helper for installation.

Follow the solar panel assembly flow

1. Tap

2. When the panels are mounted, wired, and connected to the solar input ports on the Base, return to the Ring app and tap

6. Assemble the Mast

The app shows: "Let's install the Mast and camera." For this step, you will need:

• The included Mast Sections.
• The included Camera Module.
• The included Weatherproof Cap.
• The included T25 screwdriver.
• The included M4 hex key.
• A helper for installation.

Lay out the Mast sections

1. Lay the mast sections on a clean, flat surface before you start assembly.
2. Remove the mast gasket cover from the end of the Mast Base.

Remove the security screws from the Mast Base

1. Use the included T25 screwdriver to remove the security screws from the end of the Mast Base.
2. Keep the screws nearby, as you will need them again later.

Attach the first Mast Section (with Light Strip)

1. Take the Mast Section with the light strips attached. Use this section first.
2. Feed the cables coming from the Mast Base through the Mast Section, starting from the wider end.
3. Slide the Mast Section onto the Mast Base.
4. Align the screw holes.

Important note: Make sure you're using the Mast Section with light strips attached for this step.

Secure the first Mast Section to the Mast Base

• Use the T25 screwdriver to install the 2 security screws you removed earlier, fastening the Mast Section to the Mast Base.

Lower the Mast and remove the next set of screws

1. Have your helper gently guide the Mast down and hold it firmly against the edge of the Base.
2. Use the T25 screwdriver to remove the two security screws from the exposed end of the second Mast Section you just attached.
3. Set the screws aside. You'll use them to secure the next Mast Section.

Caution: Your helper must keep holding the Mast down. Releasing the Mast before it's fully assembled can damage the device or cause injury.

Attach the second Mast Section

1. Locate the rubber pass-through gasket in the junction box and slide it onto the second Mast Section before attaching it. If missed, the mast must be partially disassembled to install it later.
2. Feed the cables through the second Mast Section.
3. Attach it to the end of the previous section.
4. Your helper can now let go of the Mast. It will stay in place on its own. Do not raise the Mast yet.

Important note: Both Mast sections must be attached. Your Tower will not work without both attached.

Secure the second Mast Section to the Mast Base

• Use the T25 screwdriver to install the two security screws you removed earlier, fastening the second Mast Section to the Mast Base.

Unbox the Camera Module

1. The Camera Module weighs about 30 lbs. (approximately 14 kg). Have your helper ready to hold it while you mount it.
2. Use the T25 screwdriver to remove the two security screws from the Camera Module's shaft. Keep them nearby, as you will need them later.

Plug the two Mast cables into the Camera Module

1. Ask your helper to hold the Camera Module upside-down during this step.
2. Take the two Mast cables and twist each pair of connectors together until the indicator points to the lock symbol and you hear a click.
3. Have your helper keep the camera upside-down, then pull any excess cables back into the Base.

Secure the camera to the Mast

1. Push any remaining excess cabling into the Mast.
2. Slide the camera on and align the screw holes.
3. Use the T25 screwdriver to install the two security screws you removed earlier.

Attach the weather cover

• Sit the included weather cover on top of the camera and twist it until tightened. Do not raise the Mast yet.

Important note: From this point on, the camera module is referred to as the Ring Elite 360 4K in the app.

Extend the Light Strip

1. Slide the top collar of the Mast Light all the way up so it covers the screws on the Camera Module.
2. Align the hole in the collar with the screw hole underneath, and secure it with the included screw.

Connect the Light Strip

• Attach the cable from the Light Strip to the connector marked Mast Light Strip on the side of the Electrical Box at the Base. Do not raise the Mast yet.

7. Power on the Tower

This step activates the Tower's electrical systems and brings it into setup mode.

Turn on each battery

1. Locate the silver button on top of each battery.
2. Press and hold the silver button on each battery for at least 3 seconds, until the display turns on.
3. Repeat for every battery you installed in Step 4.
4. Tap

   Continue

   in the Ring app.

Plug in the Tower (if applicable)

If you plan to power the Tower from an AC outlet:

1. Look for the special extension cord in the parts you unloaded from the Base.
2. Plug the cord into the socket on the rear of the Tower, then into a standard 120V outlet.
3. Position the cord to avoid trip hazards or damage from vehicles. Add cable protectors where needed.
4. Tap

   Continue

   in the Ring app.

Caution: Do not plug into a 240V outlet. This risks damage and will void your warranty.

Turn on the breakers

1. Open the Electrical Box inside the Base.
2. Flip all three breaker switches upward to

   ON

   .
3. Tap

   Continue

   in the app.

Confirm the camera and Base lights turn on

The app asks: "Did the camera and Base lights turn on?" Look at both the camera and the Base. If the lights on both turned on, the Tower is wired and powered properly.

1. If the lights came on, tap

   LIGHTS TURNED ON

   to continue.
2. If they did not come on, tap

   LIGHTS DIDN'T TURN ON

   and follow the troubleshooting screen below.

If you tapped LIGHTS DIDN'T TURN ON, check all wiring connections and power statuses:

• Make sure all 3 breakers are set to

  ON

  .
• Check if the batteries are on. If you don't see their LED indicators showing charge levels, flip the breakers to

  OFF

  , then press and hold the silver button on each battery. Turn the breakers back to

  ON

  .
• If the batteries are on but very low, plug the Tower into an AC outlet with the included extension cord and fully charge before you continue, even if you plan to use solar only.
• Make sure the Battery Power and Data Cables are plugged in correctly: red to red, black to black. If wrong, turn the breakers

  OFF

  , return to the battery assembly instructions, correct the connection, and turn the breakers back to

  ON

  .

  once corrections are made.

Confirm the Base lights flash blue

The app asks: "Are the lights on the Base flashing blue?"

1. Watch the lights on the Base. It may take up to 3 minutes for setup mode to start.
2. When the lights flash blue, tap

   LIGHTS ARE FLASHING

   to continue to permissions and pairing.
3. If they do not flash blue, tap

   LIGHTS NOT FLASHING

   and follow the troubleshooting screen below.

If you tapped LIGHTS NOT FLASHING, put your Tower in setup mode:

• If the Tower lights turned on for 10 seconds but didn't start flashing blue after that, wait at least 3 minutes.
• To reboot and enter setup mode, rapidly press and release the setup button on the side of the Electrical Box 4 times.
• If it's been more than 5 minutes and the lights still aren't flashing, power cycle the Tower: flip the breakers to

  OFF

  , wait 1 minute, then flip the breakers back to

  ON

  .

App configuration (Steps 8 to 12)

The Ring app needs Bluetooth and Location access to set up and connect to the Tower. There are three permission screens, and each one is followed by an iOS system dialog.

Allow Bluetooth

The app shows: "Please tap OK on the following screen."

1. Read the on-screen note: "This lets your mobile device use Bluetooth to connect to your Mobile Security Tower for fast and easy setup."
2. Tap

   Got it

   .
3. The system dialog "‘Ring’ Would Like to Use Bluetooth" appears. Tap

   OK

   .

Turn on Location Services

The app shows: "Please turn on Location Services."

1. Read the on-screen note: "This will improve wifi functionality and simplify location-based setups. You can always turn it off later."
2. Tap

   Continue

   .
3. The system dialog "Turn on Location Services to Allow ‘Ring’ to Determine Your Location" appears. Tap

   Settings

   , enable

   Location Services

   , then return to the Ring app.

Grant Location access to the Ring app

The app shows: "Please turn on Location access for the Ring app."

1. Read the on-screen note: "This will improve wifi functionality and simplify location-based setups. Choose 'Allow Once' when your mobile device asks for permission."
2. Tap

   Continue

   .
3. The system dialog "Allow ‘Ring’ to use your location?" appears. Tap

   Allow Once

   .

9.

The app shows: "Get close to your [device]."

1. Confirm the lights on the Base are still flashing blue (setup mode from Step 8).
2. Move within 10 feet (approximately 3 meters) of the Tower.
3. Tap

   I AM NEAR THE DEVICE

   .

The next screen reads "Mobile Security Tower is preparing for setup..." with a progress bar. Wait while the app prepares the Tower. This may take a few minutes. Do not lock your phone or leave the app.

After the Tower is paired over Bluetooth, the app asks how the Tower should connect to the network. The screen reads: "Your Mobile Security Tower can connect via mobile data (LTE), or wifi if it's close to a wifi access point."

1. Tap

   CONNECT VIA LTE

   to provision over the Tower's cellular connection. This is the recommended option for most installations. If using LTE, skip ahead to Step 12.
2. Tap

   CONNECT VIA WIFI

   to provision over a nearby wifi network and continue with the steps below.

Connect via wifi

The app shows: "Select the network your Tower should use."

1. Pick the 2.4 GHz wifi network the Tower will use. The Tower must be within range of the access point.
2. Enter the network password.
3. Tap

   Continue

   and let the Tower join the network.

Important note: If wifi pairing fails, return to the previous screen and tap CONNECT VIA LTE instead.

11.

The Tower connects to Ring Prime, the cellular network that powers live video, alerts, and remote access. The app shows: "Connecting your Mobile Security Tower to Ring Prime..." with a progress bar that advances from 20% to 40% to 60% to 80%.

1. Wait while the Tower provisions its connection. The progress runs automatically. Do not power off the Tower or close the app during provisioning.
2. The screen advances on its own once provisioning completes.

12.

The app shows a "Success!" screen.

1. Read the confirmation: "Your Mobile Security Tower is now connected."
2. Read the next step: "Next, we'll set up its camera. Be sure to select the same Location for the camera that you used for the Tower."
3. Tap

   SET UP CAMERA

   to continue to camera setup.

Ring Elite 360 4K camera setup (Steps 13 to 18)

The camera setup flow launches automatically after the Tower's Success screen. The app shows: "Scan the QR code on your Ring device."

1. Read the on-screen note: "You can also find the code on the included setup guide."
2. Tap

   I'M READY TO SCAN

   .
3. The next screen reads "Scan the QR code." with a viewfinder. The QR code is on the camera module. It has a small "scan during setup" indicator on it. You can also find the code on the included setup guide.

Important note: If there is no Tower on the account yet, you will still scan the camera first. The Ring app will assist with tower registration later in Step 17.

Connecting the camera to Ring Prime

The app then shows: "Connecting your Ring Elite 360 4K to Ring Prime..." with a progress bar that advances from 20% to 40% to 60% to 80%.

• Wait while the camera provisions over the Tower's network. Do not power down the Tower, lock your phone, or leave the app.

If the camera "could not connect to the internet", the app shows a Things to Check screen:

• Make sure your Tower is powered on.
• Make sure the camera is in setup mode (light flashing blue). If it's not, put it in setup mode by pressing the setup button between the camera lenses and floodlights.
• Stay close to the camera until setup is complete.
• Disconnect from any other Bluetooth devices during setup.
• Tap

  TRY AGAIN

  after following the above steps.

The app shows: "Your Tower is connected. It's time to raise the Mast."

1. Confirm a helper is present to help support and stabilize the Mast.
2. Slowly guide the Mast to an upright position so it doesn't impact the Base. Watch for cables snagging or binding at the base as you raise.
3. Once raised, slide the Light Strip's bottom end cap downward into the U-shaped recess until the grommet is flush with the rear wall of the Base.
4. Fix and secure the pass-through gasket at the base of the mast.

Tighten the bolts on the Mast mounting strap

1. Tighten the bolts on the Mast mounting strap. You can do this by hand or with your M4 hex key.

Frequently asked questions

Important note: For any issues not covered below, call Ring Business Support at 1-800-RING-HELP or visit business.ring.com/support. Have your device serial number and account info ready.

The door won't open or close, or the frame feels warped.

Check the Stabilizer feet. If one leg sits higher than the others, the body twists out of square and the door cannot be closed shut. Adjust all feet until the unit is level on every side, then test the door again. This can occur even on flat, solid ground.

Something catches in the hinge area when I close the door.

The Solar Panel cables secured to the top of the door might have excess cable slack caught between the hinges. Tuck all cables clear of the hinge path before closing the door.

The Ring Elite 360 4K camera does not slide down fully onto the Mast.

Excess cable inside the pole is binding it. Gently pull the cable from the base of the Mast until you feel no resistance, then slide the camera down. Verify that the camera seats fully before securing.

I'm not sure which battery goes in which slot.

As mentioned in Step 4, the battery slots are counter-clockwise. Slot 1 is the bottom left slot on the Base, Slot 2 is the bottom right slot on the Base, and Slot 3 is the top right slot on the Base. Be sure to seat each battery in order.

I cannot disconnect the solar panel cables for transport.

The negative MC4 connectors have plastic covers that must be pressed down to release. To release them, push the tab while pulling the connector apart. An MC4 removal tool makes this easier.
