1. Set Tower location and name in the Ring app

Confirm whether the Tower is already assembled

2. Prepare for assembly

2. Place the Tower on flat, level, stable ground near the center of the area you want to monitor, with at least 8 by 7 ft (2.5 by 2 meters).
   • For best performance of the Solar Panels, avoid placing the Tower in shade or near obstructions like trees, fences, or buildings.

Important note: If powering from a wall outlet, keep the Tower within 50 ft (15 meters) of it.

The app asks: "How will your Tower be used?"

• On flat ground, continue with Step 3A (Set up on the ground).
• On a trailer, skip to Step 3B (Set up on the Trailer).

3A. Set up on the ground

Move and unbox the Tower

1. Move the pallet to your chosen location with a pallet jack or forklift.
2. Open the packaging with your box cutter and remove all packing material except the pallet.
3. Locate the Tower door lock and open it with the attached key.
4. Unload the cable and hardware bags, the Camera Module, and the two loose Mast Sections. Leave the pre-attached Mast Base.

Caution: Do not try to remove the Mast Base. It is spring-loaded and can snap up unexpectedly.

Separate the Tower from the pallet

1. Open the Tower door and use an adjustable wrench to remove all nuts holding the Tower to the pallet.
2. Close the door. Have two people lift the Tower off the pallet and set it in position with the solar panel facing south.

Deploy the Tower Stabilizers

1. Pull down the spring-loaded ring on each Stabilizer arm and rotate it out to a 45-degree angle from the Base.
2. Remove the pin from each Stabilizer foot, then rotate the feet so they sit flat on the ground.
3. Rotate each Stabilizer foot until the Tower is level.
4. Proceed to Step 4 (Install the batteries).

3B. Set up on the Trailer

Assemble the trailer

1. Open the two Trailer Kit packages with your box cutter.
2. Follow the Video Tutorial linked in the app. Use the tools listed in the "Required tools for trailer installation" section.

Important note: The Tower is heavy. Use at least two people to lift it.

Move and unbox the Tower

1. Open the packaging with your box cutter and remove all packing material except the pallet.
2. Locate the Tower door lock and open it with the attached key.
3. Unload the cable and hardware bags, the Camera Module, and the two loose Mast Sections. Leave the pre-attached Mast Base.

Caution: Do not try to remove the Mast Base. It is spring-loaded and can snap up unexpectedly.

Separate the Tower from the pallet

1. Open the Tower door and use an adjustable wrench to remove all nuts holding the Tower to the pallet. Close the door and tilt the Tower onto its back.
2. Remove the four nuts and washers from the Tower feet using the same wrench. Set these aside for the next step.

Secure the Tower Base to the trailer

1. With a helper, lift the Tower Base onto the trailer. Guide the Base between the fenders so the four threaded rods align with the corner bracket holes.
2. Secure the Base with the four nuts and washers removed in the previous step.
3. Proceed to Step 4 (Install the batteries).

Step 4. Install the batteries

Up to three batteries can be installed. Install in counter-clockwise slot order: Slot 1 (bottom left), Slot 2 (bottom right), Slot 3 (top right).

What you need for this step

• The included battery or batteries
• The included Battery Power Cable(s)
• The included Battery Data Cable(s)
• The included Battery Daisy Chain Cable(s), for multiple batteries
• The included Battery Clamp(s) and J-bolts
• An adjustable wrench (not included)
• A Phillips screwdriver (not included)

Caution: Each battery weighs approximately 70 lbs. (approximately 32 kg). Get help lifting.

Unbox the batteries

• Remove each battery along with its included cables and hardware from the packaging. Set all batteries aside.

Important note: Do not install the batteries yet. Later steps walk you through positioning and connecting them.

Guide the Mast Base upright

1. Remove any packing materials from the Mast Base.
2. Hold the Mast Base firmly by the top and slowly guide it upright into the U-shaped recess in the rear wall. Push any cables aside gently without disconnecting them.

Caution: The Mast Base is spring-loaded. Releasing it can cause injury or damage to the hardware.

Set all breakers to off

1. Locate the Electrical Box inside the Tower Base, in the lower left area of the rear panel.
2. Open the box and flip each breaker switch downward to the OFF position.

Prepare Slot 1

1. Clear the area marked Slot 1 of any cables or installation hardware.
2. Remove the Weatherproof Cap from the Tower Base and store it in the Tool Box.

Important note: The Weatherproof Cap keeps out water and dirt when your Tower is stowed for storage or transportation.

Install the battery in Slot 1

1. With your helper, lift the battery by its straps and lower it into Slot 1 with the terminals facing the middle of the Base. Confirm the charge indicator window is visible.
2. Place the Battery Clamp on top of the battery and run the J-bolts through the Base holes into the anchor slots.
3. Thread a washer and nut onto each J-bolt and tighten until snug.

Important note: Confirm the battery is off. If the green LED lights are on, press and hold the silver power button for 3 seconds to turn off the battery.

Connect the Battery Power Cable (Slot 1)

1. Remove the rubber boots from the terminals and thread each onto its matching Battery Power Cable (red for positive, black for negative).
2. Remove the screw from each terminal, slot the Power Cable onto the terminal, re-tighten the screws, and snap the boots back on.
3. Connect the other end of the Battery Power Cable to the numbered cable from the Electrical Box.

Connect the Battery Data Cable (Slot 1)

1. Locate the Battery Data Cable (short black cable with a right-angled connector on one end and an Ethernet plug on the other).
2. Plug the right-angled end into the small connector on the battery labelled IN.

Important note: Do not turn the battery on yet.

Prepare and connect the Battery Data Cable coupler

1. Locate the cable labeled BATTERY DATA coming from the Electrical Box. Unscrew and remove the outer half of the connector (the port cover).
2. Remove the end cap and the blue grommet underneath it. Set both aside.
3. Feed the Ethernet end of the Battery Data Cable through the end cap, starting from the smaller end.
4. Slip the blue grommet around the cable near the plug, then feed the cable into the port cover and push the grommet in until flush.
5. Plug the Battery Data Cable into the Electrical Box cable. Push the connector up to cover the connection, twist clockwise to lock, and tighten the end cap.

Adding a second battery (optional)

The app prompts: "Are you adding another battery? Your Mobile Security Tower can fit up to 3."

Install the battery in Slot 2

2. Lower the battery into Slot 2 with the terminals facing the middle of the Base.
3. Place the Battery Clamp on top and run the J-bolts through the Base holes into the anchor slots. Thread a washer and nut onto each J-bolt and tighten until snug.

Important note: Confirm the battery is off. If the green LED lights are on, press and hold the silver power button for 3 seconds to turn off the battery.

Connect the Battery Power Cable (Slot 2)

1. Remove the rubber boots and thread each onto its matching Battery Power Cable (red for positive, black for negative).
2. Remove the screw from each terminal, slot the Power Cable onto the terminal, re-tighten the screws, and snap the boots back on.
3. Connect the other end to the numbered cable from the Electrical Box.

Connect the Battery Daisy Chain Cable (Slot 2)

1. Locate the Battery Daisy Chain Cable. Both ends are right-angled connectors: one labelled IN and the other labelled OUT.
2. Connect the OUT end to the OUT connector on the battery in Slot 1.
3. Connect the IN end to the IN connector on the battery in Slot 2.

Adding a third battery (optional)

The app prompts: "Are you adding another battery?"

5. Installing the Side Solar Panels (optional)

What you need for this step

• 4 Side Solar Panels (shipped separately).
• 2 Panel Mounts (shipped separately).
• Solar Panel cables (included).
• A Phillips screwdriver (not included).
• A helper for installation.

Confirm parts and tools

The app asks: "Do you want to install Side Solar Panels?"

Follow the solar panel assembly flow

The app shows the "Let's install your Solar Panels." screen.

6. Assemble the Mast

What you need for this step

• The included Mast Sections
• The included Camera Module
• The included Weatherproof Cap
• The included T25 screwdriver
• The included M4 hex key
• A helper for installation

Prepare the Mast Base

1. Lay the Mast Sections on a clean, flat surface.
2. Remove the mast gasket cover from the end of the Mast Base.
3. Use the T25 screwdriver to remove the security screws from the end of the Mast Base. Set the screws aside.

Attach the first Mast Section (with Light Strip)

1. Feed the Mast Base cables through the Mast Section with light strips, starting from the wider end.
2. Slide the Mast Section onto the Mast Base and align the screw holes.
3. Use the T25 screwdriver to install the 2 security screws, fastening the Mast Section to the Mast Base.

Important note: Use the Mast Section with light strips attached for this step.

Attach the second Mast Section

1. Have your helper gently guide the Mast down and hold it firmly against the edge of the Base.
2. Use the T25 screwdriver to remove the two security screws from the exposed end of the first Mast Section. Set them aside.
   • Caution:

     Your helper must keep holding the Mast down. Releasing the Mast before it is fully assembled can damage the device or cause injury.
3. Slide the rubber pass-through gasket from the junction box onto the second Mast Section before attaching it.
4. Feed the cables through the second Mast Section and attach it to the end of the previous section.
5. Use the T25 screwdriver to install the two security screws, fastening the second Mast Section.
   • Your helper can now release the Mast, it will stay in place. Do not raise the Mast yet.

Important note: Both Mast Sections must be attached. Your Tower will not work without both sections being attached. If you missed the rubber gasket, the Mast must be partially disassembled.

Attach the Camera Module

1. Use the T25 screwdriver to remove the two security screws from the Camera Module shaft. Set them aside.
2. Have your helper hold the Camera Module upside-down.
3. Twist each Mast cable connector pair together until the indicator points to the lock symbol and clicks.
4. While the helper holds the camera, pull any excess cable back into the Base.
5. Push any remaining cable into the Mast. Slide the camera on and align the screw holes.
6. Use the T25 screwdriver to install the two security screws.
7. Sit the weather cover on top of the camera and twist to tighten. Do not raise the Mast yet.

Caution: The Camera Module weighs approximately 30 lbs. (approximately 14 kg). Have your helper ready.

Important note: From this point on, the Camera Module is referred to as Ring Elite 360 4K in the app.

Extend and connect the Light Strip

1. Slide the Mast Light collar up until it covers the screws on the Camera Module.
2. Align the collar hole with the screw hole underneath and secure with the included screw.
3. Connect the Light Strip cable to the connector marked

   Mast Light Strip

   on the Electrical Box.
   • Do not raise the Mast yet.

7. Power on the Tower

Turn on each battery

1. Locate the silver button on top of each battery.
2. Press and hold the silver button for at least 3 seconds until the display turns on. Repeat for each battery.
3. Tap

   Continue

   in the Ring app.

Plug in the Tower (if using AC power)

1. Locate the extension cord from the parts unloaded from the Base.
2. Plug the cord into the socket on the rear of the Tower, then into a 120V outlet.
3. Route the cord away from foot traffic and vehicles. Add cable protectors where needed.
4. Tap

   Continue

   in the Ring app.

Caution: Do not plug into a 240V outlet. This risks damage and will void your warranty.

Turn on the breakers

1. Open the Electrical Box inside the Base.
2. Flip all three breaker switches upward to ON.
3. Tap

   Continue

   in the Ring app.

Confirm the camera and Base lights turn on

The app asks: "Did the camera and Base lights turn on?"

• If the lights came on, tap

  LIGHTS TURNED ON

  to continue.
• If they did not come on, tap

  LIGHTS DIDN'T TURN ON

  and check the following:
  • Make sure all 3 breakers are set to ON.
  • Check that the batteries are on. If LED indicators are not showing, flip breakers OFF, press and hold the silver button on each battery, then turn breakers back ON.
  • If batteries are on but very low, plug into an AC outlet and fully charge before continuing — even if you plan to use solar only.
  • Verify Battery Power and Data Cables are correctly connected (red to red, black to black). If wrong, turn breakers OFF, correct the connection, then turn breakers back ON.
  • Tap

Confirm the Base lights flash blue

The app asks: "Are the lights on the Base flashing blue?"

• Wait up to 3 minutes for the Base lights to start flashing blue.

  • If the lights still are not flashing after 5 minutes, power cycle the Tower: flip breakers OFF, wait 1 minute, then flip back ON.

8. Grant app permissions

The Ring app needs Bluetooth and Location access to connect to the Tower. Each permission screen is followed by an iOS system dialog.

Allow Bluetooth

10. Choose a network connection

After the Tower is paired over Bluetooth, the app asks how the Tower should connect to the network.

  to provision over the Tower's cellular connection, which is recommended for most installations.
• Tap

  CONNECT VIA WIFI

  to provision over a nearby wifi network and continue below.

Important note: A Ring Protect Pro or Virtual Security Guard plan is required for LTE Streaming. Learn how LTE connectivity and data work for Mobile Security Tower.

When connecting via LTE

The Tower connects to Ring Prime, the cellular network that powers live video, alerts, and remote access.

• Wait while the Tower provisions its connection. The progress bar advances automatically.
• Do not power off the Tower or close the app during provisioning.

After provisioning is complete, the Ring app will automatically move to the next step.

When connecting via wifi

• Select the 2.4 GHz wifi network the Tower will use. The Tower must be within range of the access point.
• Enter the network password.
• Tap

  Continue

  and let the Tower join the network.

Important note: If wifi pairing fails, return to the previous screen and tap CONNECT VIA LTE instead.

11. Confirm connection and begin camera setup

The app shows a "Success!" screen confirming your Ring Mobile Security Tower is connected.

• Tap

  SET UP CAMERA

  to continue to setup the Ring Elite 360 4K camera on the Tower.

Important note: Select the same Location for the camera that you used for the Tower.

12. Scan the QR code

The camera setup flow launches automatically after the Tower's Success screen. The app shows: "Scan the QR code on your Ring device."

1. Read the on-screen note: "You can also find the code on the included setup guide."
2. Tap

   I'M READY TO SCAN

   .
3. The next screen reads "Scan the QR code." with a viewfinder. The QR code is on the camera module. It has a small "scan during setup" indicator on it. You can also find the code on the included setup guide.
4. Hold the phone steady and align the code in the viewfinder. The corner indicators turn green when the code is detected.
5. The app advances and shows "Ring Elite 360 4K detected." Confirm the device name on screen matches your camera module.

Important note: If there is no Tower on the account yet, you will still scan the camera first. The Ring app will assist with tower registration later in Step 15 (Confirm Tower setup in the Ring app) .

13. Choose a location

The app asks: "Where are you setting up your Ring Elite 360 4K?"

1. Select an existing location from the list. Use the same location you used for the Tower. Alternatively, tap

   Add a New Location

   and enter the address.
2. Tap

   Continue.

14. Choose how the camera will be used

The app asks: "How will you use this Ring Elite 360 4K?" Two options are shown:

1. Select

   Mobile Security Tower

   .
2. Select

   Ceiling or Wall Mount

   only if the camera is being installed on a fixed indoor or outdoor structure, not on a Tower.

15. Confirm Tower setup in the Ring app

After you pick the mounting method, the Ring app checks whether a Mobile Security Tower is already set up on your account and branches based on the result.

• If a Tower is already set up the app automatically continues to Step 16 (Name the camera).
• If a Tower have not been set up yet, the app shows "First, let's set up your Mobile Security Tower" with the prompt "To do this, scan the QR code on the Tower Base."
  • Tap

    I'M READY TO SCAN

    and scan the Tower's QR code.
  • Complete the Tower setup (Steps 1 through 11 above). The camera flow then resumes at Step 16 (Name the camera).

Important note: The camera pairs with the Tower on your account, there will not be a list of Towers to choose from.

16. Name the camera

The app asks: "Give your Ring Elite 360 4K a name." Pick from the suggestions:

1. Security Tower Camera
2. Construction Site Tower Camera
3. Parking Lot Tower Camera
4. Custom... to enter your own name.

17. Complete camera setup

The app shows: "Keep the Mast lowered for these next steps."

1. Confirm the Mast is still lowered. It must stay lowered while the Ring Elite 360 4K pairs with the Tower over Bluetooth.
2. Read the on-screen note about how long pairing may take.
3. Tap

   GOT IT

   .

The next screen reads "Mobile Security Tower is preparing for setup..." with a progress bar. Wait while the camera prepares to pair.

Connecting to the Ring Elite 360 4K

The app shows: "Connecting to your Ring Elite 360 4K..." with a spinner.

1. Wait while the Tower discovers the camera.

Connecting the camera to Ring Prime

The app then shows: "Connecting your Ring Elite 360 4K to Ring Prime..." with a progress bar that advances from 20% to 40% to 60% to 80%.

• Wait while the camera provisions over the Tower's network. Do not power down the Tower, lock your phone, or leave the app.

If the camera "could not connect to the internet", the app shows a Things to Check screen:

• Make sure your Tower is powered on.
• Make sure the camera is in setup mode (light flashing blue). If it's not, put it in setup mode by pressing the setup button between the camera lenses and floodlights.
• Stay close to the camera until setup is complete.
• Disconnect from any other Bluetooth devices during setup.
• Tap

  TRY AGAIN

  after following the above steps.

18. Raise the Mast

The app shows: "Your Tower is connected. It's time to raise the Mast."

1. Confirm a helper is present to help support and stabilize the Mast.
2. Slowly guide the Mast to an upright position so it doesn't impact the Base. Watch for cables snagging or binding at the base as you raise.
3. Once raised, slide the Light Strip's bottom end cap downward into the U-shaped recess until the grommet is flush with the rear wall of the Base.
4. Fix and secure the pass-through gasket at the base of the mast.
5. Tap

   Continue

   .

Tighten the bolts on the Mast mounting strap

The app shows: "Tighten the bolts on the Mast mounting strap."

1. Tighten the bolts on the Mast mounting strap. You can do this by hand or with your M4 hex key.
2. Verify the mast is plumb (vertical) with a level. Adjust the Stabilizer feet if needed.
3. Tap

   Continue

Important note: If needed, add sandbags. If you're using a single backup battery or setting up in a high-wind location, fill the included sandbags and place them inside the Base for added ballast.

Close the cover on the Base

The app shows: "Close the cover on the Base."

1. If the Base is still open, close it. You can store the tool box inside the Base for use later.
2. Close and latch the base unit door.
3. Tap

Setup completion

The app shows: "Success! Your Mobile Security Tower is now ready to use. Close the door and lock up."

1. Read the disassembly reminder: "When disassembling your Tower for storage or transport, remember to re-attach the Weatherproofing Cap you removed earlier, and remove all installed batteries."
