Ring Alexa Skill Stopped Working

If you’ve already enabled the Ring Skill in your Alexa app, but it stopped working, you may be having a connectivity issue. If auto live view or Live View is not connecting, follow the steps below to resolve the problem. This procedure will disable and then re-enable the Ring Skill but your Ring devices will remain installed on your Ring app.

Note: You may need to update your mobile device's operating system and download the latest versions of the Alexa and Ring app.

If you're having trouble with Live View not showing on Echo Show or Fire TV enabled Alexa devices:

  • Ensure your Ring device and Alexa device are both online.
  • Test Live View in the Ring app or on Ring.com. If Live View does not connect outside of Alexa, the issue may not be related to Alexa.
  • Make sure you are signed in to the Alexa app and Ring app as the Owner of the Ring device.
    .
  • In addition, make sure your Ring profile email matches your Alexa app profile email. Otherwise, you will not be able to access video via Alexa.
