How to Set Up Your Amazon Smart Home Thermostat in the Ring App

Your Amazon Smart Thermostat can be set up in the Ring app where you can control heating, cooling, set up automatic controls and adjust temperatures up and down.

You’ll need to have your:

1. Amazon account linked to your Ring Account
2. Set up the thermostat in the Alexa app

How to Set up your Amazon Smart Thermostat, in the Ring app:

• Tap the three lines on the top left 
• Tap 

  Set Up A Device

   
  • If your Amazon account 

     using your Amazon username and password.
• Select

  Thermostats

  (you may need to scroll)
  • Select Smart Thermostat
• Once the thermostat is connected:
  • You can navigate to the settings on the Dashboard screen (the first screen you see on the Ring app)
    • You may need to slide to the right or left to see the Thermostat tile at the top of the Dashboard screen
• Tap 

  Device Settings:
  • Mode enables you to turn heat, cold or auto on
    • Off turns the thermostat off
  • Up and down arrows will adjust the heat or cold temperature up or down.

How to Move your Amazon Smart Thermostat from the Alexa App to the Ring App

Your Amazon account must be linked to your Ring account.

In the Ring app: 

• Tap the three lines on the top left
• Tap

  Set Up a Device
• Tap

  Thermostats

  (you may need to scroll)
• Tap

  Transfer from Alexa App
  • The Ring app will search for your supported Alexa devices
  • Select the device you want to add
• Tap

  Add Selected Device

  on the bottom of the screen 
• Success message will say

  Devices added to the Ring App!
• Tap

  Continue

  (bottom of screen).
