Add or Update Payment Method for Virtual Security Guard
You can update the payment information used to pay for your subscriptions on Ring.com. When you update your payment information, your Virtual Security Guard¹ and Ring subscription will be charged to the new credit/debit card going forward.
Things to Know
- A Ring account can only have one subscription payment method on-file.
- Adding a new payment method doesn’t automatically subscribe you to Ring Plan.
- Only the Account Owner can update or remove a payment method on Ring.com.
Add a new payment method
- SelectAccount>Manage Account.
- Next toMy Payment Method, selectAdd New.
- Enter your payment information and selectContinue.Your payment method has been saved. Your Virtual Security Guard and Ring subscription will both be charged to this card.
Update existing payment method
- SelectAccount>Manage Account.
- Next toMy Payment Method, selectUpdate.
- SelectReplace My Payment Method.
- To remove your payment method, selectRemove Payment Method.
- SelectChange For All Plans.
- If you leave this page before saving your new credit card information, your payment method will be deleted. A missing payment method may cause your subscription to expire, and all your recorded videos to be permanently deleted.
- Enter your payment information and selectContinue.Your payment method has been updated. Your Virtual Security Guard and Ring subscription will both be charged to this card.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my Virtual Security Guard subscription be automatically renewed every month?
Yes. If there’s a valid payment method on file, Virtual Security Guard will be automatically renewed at the end of the subscription period. If your payment method on file is not valid, we’ll email you to let you know that your payment method needs attention.
How do I add new devices to Virtual Security Guard?
After you purchase your subscription, you’ll be able to authorize new devices during setup. If you add a new compatible device at a later date, you can enroll the device in the Virtual Security Guard section of your Control Center in the Ring app.
