Learn how to update your account settings to receive verification codes by text whenever you sign in to Ring.

In Control Center, you can choose how you want to receive your six-digit verification code. We require you to enter this code to help protect your Ring account.

Changing your code delivery to Text Message
From the Ring app:
- Open the Ring app.
- Tap the topmenu (☰).
- TapControl Center.
- TapAccount Verification.
- SelectText Message.
- You may be asked to re-enter your password.
- Be sure that your mobile number is the correct one listed. If not, update it.
From your mobile or desktop browser window:
- If you're on desktop: tap theDashboardhome icon at the top, thenAccount.
- If you're on mobile: tap the topmenu(☰).
- TapControl Center.
- TapAccount Verification.
- SelectText Message.
- You may be asked to re-enter your password.
- Be sure that your mobile number is the correct one listed. If not, update it.
Troubleshooting your sign-in to Ring
If you're having trouble receiving a verification code by text message or authenticator app, you can use an alternate method to verify your account.
