Ring Alarm Does Not Support Multi-Dwelling Use
Ring Alarm is intended for use in residential locations and small-to-medium-sized businesses and does not currently support multi-dwelling units. Multi-dwelling units include:
- Apartment buildings
- Townhouses
- Condominium complexes
- Rental retail spaces
- Office spaces
or any other place where multiple unrelated residential or commercial tenants are located.
Why is this important?
Ring Alarm users need to be able to fully access, manage, and control any Ring devices that are installed in their living space using their own Ring account. If a landlord or building owner sets up Ring Alarm for each tenant, the tenant will no longer be the account owner, and have limited access. Having account ownership allows each account owner to protect their privacy and security, among other things.
