Mobile Browser Compatibility and the Ring App

Learn how to download a compatible mobile browser to use the latest features of the Ring app.

Compatible mobile browsers

For Android devices:

• Google Chrome
• Samsung
• Firefox

  (app versions after August 16, 2023)
• Amazon Silk (Fire tablets only)

How to download a supported browser on your Android device

1. Open the

   Google Play

   app.
2. Search for one of the compatible browsers listed above.
3. Follow the on-screen steps to download and install the browser.

Tip: As long you have one of the supported browsers installed on your device, you can set any browser as your default.

“Unsupported browser” or “page could not be found” error

If you get an “unsupported browser” or “page could not be found” error on your Android device after installing the Ring app, trying reinstalling the Ring app or adjusting your permissions on the Ring app permissions on your Android. Learn more.

Follow the on-screen instruction to complete your sign-in.

• For Firefox and Opera browsers, open the dotted menu and tap

  Open in App

  to complete sign-in.
• For Edge browsers, tap

  Open external app

  in the pop up that appears at the bottom of the screen.
