Getting to know your Ring Indoor Illuminated Sign

The Ring Indoor Illuminated Sign is a plug-and-play illuminated sign that displays the Ring logo. It works without the Ring app, tools, or any additional setup.

Important note: This sign is designed for indoor use only (IP20 rated) and should be kept indoors to protect the electronics.

Before you start

• Make sure a standard power outlet is within 6 feet of your chosen mounting spot.
• For the adhesive method, clean and dry the mounting surface before installation.

How to mount your sign

Window mount (adhesive)

1. Peel the adhesive backing from the front of the sign.
2. Press the sign firmly onto the glass surface with the Ring logo facing outward toward visitors.

To make the Ring logo visible from both sides of the window, apply the included removable Ring logo sticker to the back of the sign. Use the octagonal grooves on the back as a guide to align the sticker.

Wall mount (screw, nail, or command strip)

Hang the sign on an indoor wall using a screw, nail, or command strip.

Confirm your setup

• The sign is securely mounted and does not shift or slide.
• The Ring logo faces outward toward visitors.
• The USB-C cable reaches a nearby outlet without pulling on the sign

How to power your sign

1. Plug the included USB-C cable into the port on the back of the sign.
2. Connect the other end to the included wall adapter.
3. Plug the wall adapter into a standard power outlet.

Important note: For the best experience, use the cable and adapter included with your sign. No batteries or charging required.

Choosing a power mode

Your sign has a three-position toggle switch.

• ON

  - The sign stays lit at all times, day and night.
• OFF

  - The sign is completely off.
• AUTO (Dusk to Dawn)

  - The sign automatically turns on when it gets dark and off when it gets bright using the built-in light sensor. This mode requires the sign to be positioned in a window where the sensor can detect natural daylight. The sensor responds only to natural daylight changes.

Care and maintenance

• Use a soft, dry cloth to clean dust or fingerprints.
• The sign is built with UV-resistant materials for long-lasting durability.

Check the cable's connection first; a loose or disconnected cable is the most common cause.

• Make sure the USB-C cable is fully connected on both ends, the sign and the adapter.
• Try a different outlet to rule out a power issue.
