How to Set Up Aladdin Connect App in the Ring App

Learn all about setting up the Aladdin Connect app (Genie or Overhead Door brand garage door openers) to use with your Ring app.

1. Open your Ring app.
2. Tap the

   menu (≡)

   on the upper-left.
3. Tap 

   Set up a device.
4. Tap 

   Garage Door Openers.
5. Tap 

   Genie

    or 

   Overhead Door

    to match the brand of garage door opener you have.
6. You will be asked if you wish to add 

   Genie/Overhead Door

    to your Ring app.
   • Tap 

     Continue.
7. If you have not yet linked your 

   Ring account

    and 

   Amazon account

   , you will now have an opportunity to do so.
   • Follow the on-screen instructions to link your Ring and Amazon accounts.
8. You will now be asked if you have a 

   Genie/Overhead Door account

   .
   • If you do not have an account you will be taken to a page where you can download the correct app (if necessary) and sign up for a Genie/Overhead Door account.
   • Once your account is ready, you will return to the Ring app. Tap 

     I have an account
9. You will be taken to the 

   Terms of Service

    page.
   • Tap 

     Agree

     .
10. Sign in with the email address and password for your Genie/Overhead Door account.
11. Success! Your Ring and Genie/Overhead Door accounts are linked.
12.  You will be asked in which Location your garage door opener is located. Select the correct Location.
13. Select which garage door opener you would like to link.

You will now be able to control or monitor your garage door opener and quickly access the Aladdin Connect/OHD Anywhere app from your Ring app dashboard.

Signing up for Amazon Key through your Aladdin Connect app

1. Open your Aladdin Connect app.
2. Tap 

   Amazon Key

   .
3. Tap 

   Connect to Amazon Key

   .
4. If you have not yet connected your Amazon account to your Genie/Overhead Door account you will have an opportunity here.
5. Tap 

   Allow Connection

   .
6. Authorize Amazon Key to connect with your Genie/Overhead Door account.
7. Tap 

   Allow Connection

   .
8. Select your address from the list of available Key-eligible In-Garage Delivery addresses.
9. Select the desired garage door for In-Garage Delivery. Tap 

   Engage In-Garage Delivery

   .
