Ring Appstore Challenge
Build an App. Win Big. Change the Smart Home.
Ring has launched the Ring Appstore Challenge, a competition inviting eligible college and university students to build apps for Ring customers and compete for a share of $500,000 in prizes.
How It Works
The challenge has two phases:
Pitch your idea: Register and submit a proposal for an original Ring Appstore app. No code required at this stage. Ring judges review every eligible proposal and select up to 1,000 Finalists.
Build, launch, and grow: Finalists receive a free Ring camera and sensor kit, developer tools, and mentorship from Ring engineers. Build your app, publish it on the Ring Appstore, and attract real users.
When the challenge closes, four winners present their apps at Demo Day at Ring headquarters and share $500,000 in prizes.
