Creating a Ring account

Follow these steps to create a free Ring account and manage your home security.

Create your Ring account

  1. From the sign-in page, tap
    Create Account.
  2. Enter your personal details (name, email, etc.).

Verify your email address

If you are creating your account from ring.com:

  1. Check your email for a verification code from Ring.
  2. Enter the verification code and click
    Create Account
    .

If you are using the Ring app:

  1. Check your email for an email verification link.
  2. Click the verification link and click
    Create Account
    .

Set up your sign-in code

Ring sends a six-digit code to your phone to help protect your account's security when you sign in on a new device or browser. Enter this code to access your account. Learn more about Two-Step Verification.

  1. Enable two step verification via SMS or use an authenticator app.
  2. Enter the code sent to the phone number or authenticator app and click
    Verify Code.

If using an authenticator app, follow the steps to add Ring to your authenticator app.

  1. Tap
    Continue
    to proceed with your authenticator app.
  2. Enter the six digit code from your authenticator app, labeled Ring.
  3. Tap
    Verify Code
    .

Proceed with Setup

After you have verified your account, select what you would like to do:

  • Set up a device.
  • Download the App.
  • Add a Shared User.

Choose your location

  1. Select the type of location (Home or Business).
  2. Enter your Ring device location.
  3. Tap
    Use This Address
    to confirm or
    Edit Address
    to make changes.
  4. Pin your exact location on the map. If the address does not appear as you type, enter it manually.
  5. Name the location and select
    Save Location
    .

You can link your Ring and Amazon accounts to enable features like the Ring Alexa Skill.
