Changing the Email Address for Your Ring Account
Learn how to update the email address in your Ring account.
Updating your Ring account email
You can change your email address, name, phone number or password in the Control Center in the Ring app or on Ring.com.
When entering a new email address, double check you've typed it correctly.
I forgot my Ring account password
From the Ring app:
- Tap theMenu (☰).
- Scroll down and tapControl Center.
- TapAccount Management.
- TapUpdatenext to the detail you want to change (name, email, phone, password)
- For your security, you may be asked to verify your identity by logging in.
- TapSaveto change the information you've changed.
From your desktop or mobile browser:
- Log in to your account at Ring.com.
- If you're on desktop: tap theDashboardhome icon at the top, thenAccount.
- If you're on mobile: tap the topmenu(☰).
- Scroll down toControl Center.
- ClickAccount Management.
- ClickUpdateon the information you want to change
- Change the information and tapSave.
- You may be asked to enter a verification code before you can Save.
- For your security, you'll be signed out of your Ring account on all devices.
- Sign in to your Ring account again.

Troubleshooting your email address change
Look for the notification sent to your updated email address.
If you recently updated the email for your Ring account, you'll receive a verification to your new email address. Tap the button in the notification to verify your new email address. This link is only valid for 24 hours. If you missed this window, you can request a new email verify notification when attempting to sign in to the Ring app or your account at Ring.com.
Check your spam folder.
Although we take measures to deliver notifications to your inbox, it can be sent to your spam folder.
I don't have access to my Ring account email address.
You can still log in to your account with your password and your preferred verification method: by Text Message or Authenticator App. When you have successfully signed in, you can update your email.
