Learn about device cooldown
Code: W6-01
Extreme temperatures and other conditions may cause your Ring Video Doorbell or Security Camera to overheat. When this happens, you’ll see an error message in the Ring app that says: (Your Device) is trying to cool down.
This helps keep your device safe and will result in temporarily reduced video quality. If the temperature continues to rise, your device will turn off automatically to prevent damage.

- Wired Video Doorbell Pro (3rd Gen)
- Wired Video Doorbell Plus (2nd Gen)
- Floodlight Cam Wired Pro
- Floodlight Cam Wired Pro (2nd Gen)
- Outdoor Cam Pro
- Indoor Cam Plus
