Outdoor Contact Sensor communications test
When you complete the Outdoor Contact Sensor communications test, if the LED next to the setup button turns green, your test was successful.
If the LED turns red, the device can't communicate with the alarm system. If the communications test didn’t pass, we recommend trying several options.
- Move the Outdoor Contact Sensor a few inches and try again. Sometimes just moving it a bit higher or lower can solve the issue.
- Plug in a Range Extender indoors somewhere between Base Station and the Outdoor Contact Sensor.
- Try moving your Base Station to another spot in your home closer to the Outdoor Contact Sensor.
After you try each of these steps, run the communications test again by tapping the Setup button in the Outdoor Contact Sensor's battery compartment.
