Who can set up a Neighbours Verified account

Neighbours Verified serves as a tool for local organisations to make neighbourhoods safer and more connected. Our policy outlines the eligibility criteria for organisations wanting to join Neighbours as a Verified Account, including:

Local Authorities

Verified accounts are available to civil parishes and local authorities, as well as their internal departments and services, that serve as primary local government authorities for communities across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Regional authorities, committees, task forces, and elected officials are not eligible.

  • Local Council:
    (
    e.g. Friendstown Council, Friendstown Borough Council, Friendstown County Council, Friendstown Parish Council
    )
  • Local Council Departments:
    (e.g. Friendstown Department of Parks and Open Spaces, Friendstown Dog Warden Service, Friendstown Highways and Transport, Friendstown Waste Management and Recycling, Friendstown Emergency Management)

 Public Safety Agencies

Verified accounts are available to territorial police forces and fire and rescue services that provide law enforcement, emergency response, and community safety services across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

  • Police Forces:
    (e.g., Friendstown Police, Friendstown Constabulary)
