Using Auto-Verified Guest with your Ring Intercom

Auto-Verified Guest is a Ring Intercom feature that allows you to create Guest Keys for trusted visitors, so they can unlock your building’s front entrance via their own Ring app.

For each Auto-Verified Guest, you can set an access duration and schedule that determines when they can unlock the entrance. As the Ring Intercom owner, you will receive a notification via your smartphone or tablet every time an Auto-Verified Guest unlocks the entrance. You will also be able to see unlock events in your Event History in the Ring app.

Auto-Verified Guests will not be able to receive or answer calls from other visitors, see your Event History or change your device settings. Guest Keys can be revoked at any time via the Ring app.

Examples of people you could add as Auto-Verified Guests include:

  • Family members
  • Friends
  • Service workers, such as cleaners, dog walkers and pet sitters
  • Holiday rental guests
