Generating a verification code in Control Centre
Learn how to generate a verification code from Ring Control Centre to sign in to a new device.

In Control Centre, you can choose how you want to receive your 6-digit verification code whenever you sign in to the Ring app or your account at Ring.com. We require you to enter this code to help protect your Ring account.

Generating a code in Control Centre
If you don't have access to your text messages or your enrolled device's authenticator app, you can generate a code from Control Centre in Account Verification.
From the Ring app:
- Open the Ring app.
- Tap the topmenu (☰).
- TapControl Centre.
- TapAccount Verification.
- Scroll down to Generate a Verification Code.
- Under Authorise a New Device, tapGenerate.
- You may be asked to re-enter your password.
- Enter the code on the new device you wish to sign in.
From your mobile or desktop browser window:
- If you're on desktop: tap theDashboardhome icon at the top, thenAccount.
- If you're on mobile: tap the topmenu(☰).
- TapControl Centre.
- TapAccount Verification.
- Scroll down to Generate a Verification Code.
- Under Authorise a New Device, tapGenerate.
- You may be asked to re-enter your password.
- Enter the code on the new device you wish to sign in.
