Passwordless sign in using passkeys
Add a passkey to sign in to the Ring app using your face, fingerprint or the PIN you use to unlock your device. Learn more about passkeys on iOS and Android.
How to set up a passkey
Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Ring app and the latest version of your default browser, and that you have screen lock enabled on your device. Note: If you use a third-party password manager, make sure that it supports passkeys or use your default iOS or Android password manager to save your passkey and sign in. If you have an iOS device, make sure iCloud Keychain is turned on.

To set up your passkey:
- Open the Ring app.
- Tap menu.
- TapAccount Settings.
- TapPasskeys.
- TapAdd Passkey.
- Follow the prompts to create your passkey.
Once created, the passkey will be added to the Account Settings section of your Ring app.
How to use a passkey to sign in
There are two ways to sign in to the Ring app using your passkey.
Sign in from the mobile device you used to create the passkey:
- TapSign in with Passkey(below the Continue button).
- Select the saved passkey you want to use.
- Follow the prompts to sign in.
Sign in from a different mobile device from the one you used to create the passkey:
- Tap Sign-in with Passkey (below the Continue button).
- Make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on both your devices.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for using a passkey from another device.
- Scan the QR code with the mobile device where your passkey is stored.
- Follow the prompts to sign in.
How to remove a passkey
To remove a passkey, you need to delete it from both the Ring app and your device.
Delete the passkey from the Ring app:
- Tap menu.
- TapAccount Settings.
- TapPasskeys.
- TapManagenext to Passkeys.
- UnderSaved Passkeys, tap the bin icon next to the passkey you want to remove.
- TapRemoveto remove the passkey.
Delete the passkey from your device:
