Add a passkey to sign in to the Ring app or ring.com using your face, fingerprint or the PIN you use to unlock your device.

How to set up a passkey

Make sure you have updated your Ring app to the latest version and the latest version of your default browser, and that you have screen lock enabled on your device. Note: If you use a third-party password manager, make sure that it supports passkeys or use your default iOS or Android password manager to save your passkey and sign in.

Operating system and device compatibility

To set up your passkey in the Ring app:

1. Tap the menu (☰).

2. Tap

   Account Settings.
3. Tap

   Passkeys

   .
4. Follow the prompts to create your passkey.

To set up your passkey on ring.com:

1. Navigate to

   Account

   >

   Control Centre

   >

   Account Management

   >

   Passkeys

   .
2. Follow the prompts to create your passkey.

How to use a passkey to sign in

Sign in from the mobile device or browser you used to create the passkey:

1. Tap

   Sign in with Passkey

   (below the Continue button).
2. Select the saved passkey you want to use.
3. Follow the prompts to sign in.

Sign in from a different mobile device or browser from the one you used to create the passkey:

1. Tap

   Sign in with Passkey

   (below the Continue button).
2. Make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on both your devices.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions for using a passkey from another device.
4. Scan the QR code with the mobile device where your passkey is stored.
5. Follow the prompts to sign in.

How to remove a passkey

To remove a passkey, you need to delete it from both Ring and your device.

To delete the passkey from the Ring app:

1. Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.

2. Tap the menu (☰).

3. Tap

   Account Settings.
4. Tap

   Passkeys

   .
5. Tap

   Manage

   next to Passkeys.
6. Under

   Saved Passkeys

   , tap the bin icon next to the passkey you want to remove.
7. Tap

   Remove

   to remove the passkey.

To delete the passkey from ring.com:

1. Navigate to

   >

2. Under

   Saved Passkeys

   , tap the bin icon next to the passkey you want to remove. 

To delete the passkey from your device:

Follow the instructions for your operating system or browser:

• Delete your passkey from iOS
• Delete your passkey from Android
• Delete your passkey from Windows

   
• Delete your passkey from Mac

   
• Delete your passkey from Chrome
