SEPA payments for Ring Home plans in Europe

Ring is dedicated to making home security accessible and affordable for everyone. When you add a Ring Home plan, videos of each ring, motion and Live View event are stored in the cloud, so you can review, share, and save them at your leisure, for up to 180 days.

If you previously tried to sign up for Ring Home but couldn’t find a compatible payment option, Ring has extended payment options for purchasing Ring Home in Europe.

In addition to credit and debit cards, the following payment method is available:

  •
    SEPA
: Single Euro Payments Area. SEPA is similar to a secure bank transfer and will require you to provide your bank details and IBAN number. SEPA works across the entire Eurozone in any country or bank that supports Euros.

How do I change my existing payment method to SEPA?

Changing to SEPA is as easy as logging in to your Ring account, removing your existing card on file, and adding in the new payment information. Note that going through this process will require you to authenticate your bank account.

I was asked to accept a “mandate” when trying to make a payment using one of these methods. What is a mandate?

There are specific rules and regulations around payment methods in Europe that require customers to accept what is called a “mandate” before their payments can be processed. A mandate indicates that by accepting the mandate’s terms, you are authorising Ring to send instructions to your bank to process the payment.
