Setting up and controlling Groups in the Ring app
One of the most powerful ways to use your Ring cameras is to group them together using Groups in the Ring app. Grouping your Ring devices allows them to react intelligently to events that happen on your property.
You can, for example, turn on all the lights on one side of the house when any Spotlight Cam or Floodlight Cam in the group detects motion. You can also turn on and off and control all camera lights rather than using them individually, and control your camera lights using an Alexa-enabled device.
Adding a device to a Group
When you set up an eligible new device in the Ring app, you will have the opportunity to either create a new group for it or assign it to an existing group. Simply follow the in-app instructions to add the device to an existing group or create a new one.
