Troubleshooting lights for cameras
If you're having issues with your Security Camera lights, you might need to adjust your settings in the Ring app or reset the device.
Flickering lights
If the lights are flickering, try resetting or power cycling your device. If the issue continues, check your power source.
Lights turning on and off unexpectedly
If the lights are turning on and off when they should not be, adjust your motion and light settings. Lower the light sensitivity and change the Motion Zones for lights to only cover the areas you need.
Dim lights
If the lights are not bright enough, try increasing the Light Brightness setting.
Lights not turning on with motion
If the lights are not activating when motion is detected, check the following:
- Make sure you're testing when it's dark. If it is already bright, the camera will not turn on the lights.
- Try adjusting your motion and light settings, such as increasing the Light Sensitivity or changing the Motion Zones for Lights setting to cover more area.
Unresponsive lights
If your lights will not turn on, check whether the device is online, and test other features such as Live View and Motion Detection to make sure it’s responding.
