SAFETY INFORMATION

READ ALL SAFETY INFORMATION BEFORE USING THE DEVICE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR OTHER INJURY OR DAMAGE.

WARNING: Electrical shock hazard. Disconnect power to installation area at your circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning installation. Always use caution when handling electrical wiring. Do not cut any wires with factory installed wire connectors or remove the wire connectors.

CAUTION: Risk of fire. Do not install near combustible or flammable surfaces.

Your device does not have an on/off button. If you wish to stop power from flowing into your device, unplug the power source.

Do not expose your device to liquids. If your device gets wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the device and adapter to dry completely before plugging them in again. Do not attempt to dry your device or adapter with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or a hair dryer. If the device or adapter appear damaged, discontinue use immediately. Use only accessories supplied with the device to power your device.

CAUTION: This device must be protected by a 30mA Residual Current Device (RCD).

When used outdoors, install only to a covered RCD protected socket that is weatherproof with the power unit connected to the socket. If one is not provided, contact a qualified electrician for proper installation.

Your device is shipped with a PoE adapter. Your device should only be powered using the PoE adapter included with the device and a compatible Ethernet cable. If the adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.

Install your power adapter into an easily accessible electrical socket located near the equipment that will be plugged into or powered by the adapter.

Your device uses the USB cable provided and a USB charger or USB port that is compliant with safety standards, such as IEC 62368. Do not charge your device near water or in extremely humid conditions.

OTHER SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

Your device and adapter can withstand outdoor use and contact with water under certain conditions. However, your device is not intended for underwater use and may experience temporary effects from exposure to water. Do not immerse your device in water. Do not spill any food, oil, lotion, or other abrasive substances on your device. Do not expose your device to pressurised water, high velocity water, or extremely humid conditions (such as a steam room). Do not expose your device or batteries to salt water or other conductive liquids. To protect against electric shock, do not place cord, plug, or device in water or other liquids. If your device gets wet from immersion in water or high pressure water, carefully disconnect all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for them to dry completely before powering it on again. Do not attempt to dry your device or batteries (if applicable) with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or a hair dryer. To avoid risk of electric shock, do not touch your device or batteries or any wires connected to your device during a lightning storm while your device is powered. If your device or batteries appear to be damaged, discontinue use immediately.

Protect your device from direct sunlight.

Do not install when it is raining.

Use only accessories supplied with your device, or specifically marketed for use with your device, to power your device. Use of third-party accessories may impact your device’s performance. In limited circumstances, use of third-party accessories may void your device’s limited warranty. In addition, use of incompatible third-party accessories may cause damage to your device or the third-party accessory. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your device.

Do not expose your device to steam, extreme heat or cold. Use your device in a location where temperatures remain within the device’s operating temperature range set forth in this guide. Your device may get warm during normal use.

CAUTION: When mounting this device in elevated locations, use precautions to ensure that the device does not fall and harm bystanders.

Your device may get hot during normal use. To reduce the effect of the warming, place your device on a heat resistant surface. If you find the device has become hot to the touch, unplug power and let it cool down for a few minutes before handling.

This device may not be disassembled and used for any other purpose. This unit, and all the components are configured for the sole purpose of providing a security system. They are not approved for individual cellular use, battery use or other mishandling.

PROTECTION AGAINST WATER

To reduce the risk of damage to your device, follow these instructions:

Do not intentionally immerse your device in water or expose it to seawater, salt water, chlorinated water or other liquids (such as beverages).

Do not spill any food, oil, lotion or abrasive substances on your device.

Do not expose your device to pressurised water, high-velocity water or extremely humid conditions (such as a steam room). If your device is dropped or otherwise damaged, the waterproofing of the device may be compromised. POWER ADAPTER EFFICIENCY

The power adapter supplied with this device meets the requirements of EU Regulation 2019/1782 (ErP Lot 7) and UK equivalent. The efficiency values are provided below:

EXPOSURE TO ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS (EMF)

This device complies with EU Directive 2013/35/EU and UK equivalent on the minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from electromagnetic fields.

The Outdoor Cam 4K Plus has been evaluated and found to comply with the limits for RF exposure set forth in EN 62311. The device is designed to be used at a minimum separation distance of 20 cm from persons, and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

The 60 GHz radar sensor operates under low-power conditions and complies with applicable SAR and power density limits as specified in EN 62311 and Council Recommendation 1999/519/EC.
