How do I mount Ring Solar Charger?
You can mount the Ring Solar Charger directly into wood using the provided screws and screwdriver. If you are mounting the Solar Charger to a brick or stucco wall, you will need to use the provided wall anchors. Avoid mounting the Solar Charger on porches or in shady areas.
Do I need to drill new holes in the wall to install the Solar Charger?
The Solar Charger can be mounted using the same holes as the original bracket. If you are using a Corner or Wedge Kit, you will need to drill new holes.
Can I use the Solar Charger and a Wedge Kit or Corner Kit?
Solar Chargers can be used with a Wedge Kit or a Corner Kit, but only one is recommended. Stacking more than one Wedge Kit or Corner Kit changes the angle of the doorbell and can cast a shadow on the Solar Charger, making it less effective. Solar Chargers should be placed in direct sunlight for optimal performance.
My battery isn't charging on a very hot or cold day. What should I do?
If the battery is too hot or too cold, on-board software will keep it from charging in order to avoid damaging the battery. Bring the battery inside and allow it to change to room temperature before trying to recharge the battery.
