Two-way communication is supported on all Echo Smart Speakers (like Echo Dot), Smart Displays (like Echo Show), and compatible Fire TV devices. Any Ring Video Doorbell or Security Camera can be configured for two-way communication.

To use two-way communication:.

- Say,"Alexa, show me [camera or doorbell name]."If you want to speak, unmute the mic to start a conversation.
Where is this feature available?
Two-way communication is currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, Canada, and Mexico. When the feature is available in other areas, Ring will announce it through Ring.com and on the Ring Skill description.

The above commands only work on Echo Spot devices.
Can I use the Alexa app for two-way communication?
No. To use two-way communication with a Ring device through a mobile device, you will have to use the Ring app.
My Alexa can't connect to my Ring camera or doorbell. What do I do?
If your Alexa-enabled device is unable to connect to Live View, please follow these steps to troubleshoot your device.
To make sure Live View is enabled on your device:
- Open theRing app.
- Tap themenu (≡)on the left hand side of yourDashboard.
- TapDevices.
- Tap your device.
- TapDevice Settings.
- TapVideo Settings.
- Make sureLive Viewis enabled.
To make sure Live View is enabled for your device in the Ring app:
- Open theRing app.
- Tap thethree lines (≡)on the top left of yourDashboard.
- TapDevices.
- Tap your device.
- TapLive Viewto make sure it's working.
To enable your device in the Alexa app on your mobile phone:
- Open theAlexa app.
- TapDevices.
- TapSettings.
- Tap your Ring device.
- Make sure the device is enabled.
To enable your Ring device in the Alexa app on your mobile phone:
- OpenAlexa. On the left side, tap themenu(≡).
- TapSkills & Games.
- On the next screen, search forRingusing the search bar.
- After you've found Ring, tap theEnablebutton.
- Next, Alexa will ask you to sign in to your Ring account. This will link your Ring account to your Alexa account. After signing in, you'll be asked to discover devices.
- TapDiscover Devices. All of your Ring devices should appear and automatically connect to Alexa.
If you don't want Alexa to integrate with a Ring device, tap Forget on the right side.
