Installing your Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam

Physically install your Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam with this step-by-step guide. 

Hardware included

  1. Download the Ring app.
  2. Scan the QR code on your device.
  3. Choose a location.

Flat installation

Place your camera on a level surface with 16.5 cm (6.5 inches) of space in every direction and plug in.

Plug in power cable to back of device of a flat surface installation of the Ring Indoor Cam Plug-in with Pan-Tilt.

Wall installation

  1. Use the mounting plate as a guide to mark screw holes on the wall with 16.5 cm (6.5 inches) of space in every direction.
    Mark holes with a pencil using the mounting bracket as a template for Ring Pan-Tilt ceiling Mounting Bracket.
  2. Install the mounting plate with the UP arrow pointing up.
Screw in the mount for installation of the Ring Pan-Tilt for the Indoor Cam Plug-in.

Installation materials with drill, wall anchor, and screws.

On stucco, brick, or concrete, use a 5mm (3/16 inches) masonry bit to drill holes for the included wall anchors.

  1. Run the power cable through the hole in the mounting bracket and plug in.
    Pass the power cable through the center hole of the Ring Pan-Tilt wall mounting bracket to then plug into the Indoor Cam.
  2. Secure your camera to the mounting bracket by sliding until you feel a click.

  3. Secure your camera and bracket to the mounting plate by sliding until you feel a click.
    Slide the wall mount for the Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam Plug-in onto the bracket for wall mount installation.

Ceiling installation

  1. Use the mounting plate as a guide to mark screw holes on the ceiling with 16.5 cm (6.5 inches) of space in every direction.
    Mark holes with a pencil using the mounting bracket as a template for Ring Pan-Tilt ceiling Mounting Bracket.
  2. Install the mounting plate with the UP arrow pointing opposite of your desired viewing direction.
Screw in the mount for installation of the Ring Pan-Tilt for the Indoor Cam Plug-in.

  1. Secure your camera to the mounting plate by sliding until you feel a click.

  2. Plug in the power cable.
