Solar Panels for battery doorbells
The Solar Panel is a small device that can be mounted outdoors and connected to your Ring video doorbell with a cable. With just a few hours of direct sunlight per day, it will extend the life of your doorbell battery.
Important note: There are three Solar Panels for Ring doorbells.
The version with a micro-USB cable is compatible with:

Important note: Ring solar-power devices require three to four hours of direct sunlight a day. If your installation area is frequently very cloudy or gets a lot of rain or snow, this could limit the amount of sunlight that your solar power device receives.
Filtered or indirect sunlight through the clouds will not provide a charge to your doorbell. When mounting the Solar Panel, be sure to look out for overhanging branches or the shadows of nearby objects that may block the sun.
Installing your Solar Panel
You can mount the Solar Panel directly into wood using the provided screws. If you are mounting to brick, concrete or stucco:
- Mark the holes where you wish to mount the Solar Panel.
- Drill holes for the anchors.
- Insert the anchors.
- Use the screws to secure the mount.
