Managing your Ring account and privacy settings

You can manage your account information, which personal devices have access to your Ring account and Privacy Settings from the Control Centre in the Ring app and on Ring.com.

Under the Account Management tab, you can update your name, phone number, email, and Ring account password. To update your payment method for Ring, you must be logged in to your Ring account on Ring.com.

Accessing Account Management

From the Ring app:

  1. Tap the menu (☰).

  2. Tap
    Control Centre.
  3. Select
    Account Management
    .

From a browser on Ring.com:

  1. From the main dashboard, tap
    Account
    at the top right.
  2. Select
    Control Centre
    .
  3. Tap
    Account Management
    .

Updating your name, email address, or phone number

From Account Management, select Update next to Name, Email, or Phone Number, and follow these steps:

  1. Enter your Ring account password. A verification code will be sent as a text message or email for two-step verification. Enter the verification code into your Ring app and tap
    Verify

  2. Tap
    Continue
    .
  3. Enter your Name, Email, or Phone Number and re-enter the information to confirm.
  4. Tap
    Save
    .

Changing your Ring account password

If you did not authorise changes to your account, such as an updated email or setting, we recommend changing your password immediately. Do not share your password with anyone. No Ring employee, customer support associate, or Community manager will ever ask you for your password.

Managing the Authorised Devices on your account

You can manage phones, tablets, and computers that are authorised to access your Ring account. When you successfully log in to Ring using your password and Sign In Code or passkey, the device becomes an Authorised Device.

From the Ring app:

  1. Tap the menu (☰).

  2. Tap
    Control Centre
    .
  3. Tap
    Authorised Client Devices.

From a browser on Ring.com:

  1. Click on the Dashboard home icon.
  2. Click on
    Account
    and select
    Control Centre
    .
  3. Click on
    Authorised Client Devices
    .

We don’t sell your personal information. We share certain information with our third-party service providers in accordance with our Privacy Notice. We use cookies and similar tools (collectively, ‘cookies’) for the purposes described below. You can make a selection regarding web and app analytics cookies placed by third parties and personalised advertising by third parties.

Adjusting Privacy Settings for your Ring account

From the Ring app:

  1. Tap the menu (☰).

  2. Tap
    Control Centre
    .
  3. Select
    Cookies and Third Party Service Providers
    .
  4. Choose to turn off
    Third-Party Web and App Analytics Cookies
    and
    Personalised Advertising

From a browser on Ring.com:

  1. Click on the Dashboard home icon.
  2. Click on Account and select
    Control Centre
    .
  3. Under
    Privacy Information,
    select
    Cookies and Third Party Service Providers.
  4. Adjust your settings to opt in or opt out.

You can choose which cookies are enabled for Third-Party Web and Analytics, and Personalised Advertising by third parties on Ring.com.

  1. Navigate to the Cookie Settings Manager at the bottom of the page.
  2. Toggle or off your preferred settings and tap
    Save Settings
    .

Managing your data

  1. Navigate to the
    Control Centre
    .
    • From the Ring app:
      Tap the menu (☰)
      and select
      Control Centre
      .
    • From Ring.com:
      Select
      Account
      from the main dashboard and select
      Control Centre
      .
  2. Select
    Manage Your Data.
  3. Click on
    Download Your Personal Data
    or
    Delete Data.
  4. Enter your password when prompted.
    • If requesting to download, tap
      Confirm Your Request
      .
    • Deleting your data will require deleting your Ring account.
