No. The Original Ring Video Doorbell and Ring Video Doorbell 2 will continue to work as normal and will continue to be supported by Ring.
Does the Ring Video Doorbell 3 work with other Ring devices?
Yes. The Ring Video Doorbell 3 works with any other device created by Ring and can perform all the functions expected of a video doorbell in a security system.
Does the Ring Video Doorbell 3 work with Alexa?
Yes. The Ring Video Doorbell 3 is completely compatible with Echo devices.

Compatibility & usage
Is the Ring Video Doorbell 3 usable with the mounting brackets, solar mounts, charging cables, and wedge/corner kits from earlier generations of the Ring Video Doorbell?
The Video Doorbell 3 is usable with earlier Video Doorbell’s charging cables. Mounting brackets and wedge/corner kits are however not compatible, although new versions will be provided in the Video Doorbell 3 box. Solar mounts are not optimised for the Video Doorbell 3 and a new version is now available for purchase.
A separate Video Doorbell 1 converter kit accessory is available now to make the Video Doorbell 3 compatible with your Video Doorbell 1 mounting holes, so new drilling is not required.
Is the Ring Video Doorbell 3 weather resistant?
Yes. The Ring Video Doorbell 3 is weather resistant.
Can the Ring Video Doorbell 3 withstand hot or cold temperatures?

Data usage and recording plans
Does the Ring Video Doorbell 3 use cellular data all the time or just when it's activated?
Ring Video Doorbell 3 will only use cellular data when it’s activated by an event, recording an event, or when you access Live View via the Ring app. If the Video Doorbell 3 doesn’t detect motion or isn’t activated with the app, it won’t use your data.
Does the Ring Video Doorbell 3 keep footage for later review?
It can, however, this requires a subscription to Ring Protect plan, an optional service that allows you to view, save, and share video.

I have an unusually shaped front garden. How do I aim Ring Video Doorbell 3 in a direction other than straight ahead?

Yes, a 1-year limited warranty. If you are a consumer, the limited warranty is in addition to your consumer rights, and does not jeopardise these rights in any way. This means you may still have additional rights at law even after the limited warranty has expired.
